PROGRAM OVERVIEW
Core Fiber Communications offers a comprehensive one-year Fiber Optic Technician Apprentice Program in the Los Angeles area. Apprentices gain hands-on experience in preparing, splicing, testing, and documenting fiber optic networks under expert guidance.
KEY TRAINING COMPONENTS
- Splicing various fiber optic cables (loose tube. uni-tube, ribbon) using fusion. mass, or direct termination methods,
- Preparing fiber cables and splice enclosures of different sizes and manufacturers.
- Testing. troubleshooting. and documenting network
JOURNEYMAN REQUIREMENTS
- Complete the one-year
- Hold a valid driver's license with a clean record and be willing to travel.
- Demonstrate strong computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft applications.
- Complete OSHA 30 and specialized safety training (Aerial/ Boom, Confined)
